Quick Bits: Arbitration Update, Girardi, Matsui, Henrich

December 1, 2009, 4:38 pm by iYankees · 7 Comments

Here are four items of note, on the day:

  • The Yankees won’t offer arbitration to any of their free agents (source, source).
  • Joe Girardi was recently sent to the Jets to teach QB Mark Sanchez how to slide.
  • Yesterday, in New York, Hideki Matsui underwent two hours of tests on his left knee.
  • Former Yankees outfielder Tommy Henrich, 96, passed away early this morning.

Back with more later…

Good! Damon would have taken it and so would Nady and both aren’t worth that much money for what they will provide!

Looks like the Yankees may be playing Damon, and they are testing Matsui’s knees knowing they plan to sign him to DH for less money (than by being open about wanting him back) and let Damon go find the contract he thinks he is owed!

Anyone know anything about this Taiwanese 18-year-old infielder Fu-Lin Kuo? We apparently signed him last night, I have no clue who he is though.
