Duchscherer’s decision coming soon

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick reports that free agent starter (and perhaps reliever, if his stomach allows it), Justin Duchscherer, has received contract offers from “at least three undisclosed clubs and expects to decide where he’ll be pitching in 2010 within a week.” The Yankees are currently attempting to add an arm at a discount price and they hope to do so by the end of the year, so perhaps Duchscherer, who missed the ’09 season after having surgery on his elbow, will be the man they turn to for their pitching needs. Duchscherer also suffers from clinical depression which contributed to his lost year, though he is reportedly allowing teams to talk to his therapist in order to help his cause as a free agent.
