Girardi remains unwilling to commit to Brett Gardner in left field. When asked whether or not left field was “up for grabs,” Girardi said, “I think so. You look at it as a spot we need to fill… It may end up being a platoon situation. That third outfielder is not etched in stone.” Gardner could end up in center field, instead, with Curtis Granderson in left.
