Via MLBTR, we learn that the Rays and left fielder, Carl Crawford, will wait until after the season is over to continue their discussions regarding a contract extension. Crawford has stated that he would like to stay in Florida, but, as Jon Heyman noted the other day, if the 28-year old reaches free agency, then he will be one of the premiere outfielders on the market for 2011, with the Yankees likely very interested in his services.
