Here are a few quick items on the morning:
- Is this Andy Pettitte’s final year? Jack Curry of the YES Network spoke with Pettitte and believes it is.
- The LoHud’s Chad Jennings sat down with the Yankees’ top prospect, Jesus Montero, for five questions.
- Due to yesterday’s rainout, the Yankees will hold an intrasquad game today to keep their pitchers fresh.
In the intrasquad game, Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, and Damaso Marte will pitch for on team, while Joba Chamberlain, Chan Ho Park, and Dave Robertson will pitch for the other. The Yankees – well, those not involved in the intrasquad game – will also face the Phillies later today, at 1:00 pm. A.J. Burnett is slated to start that game.
