Yanks return Hoffmann to LA

According to Chad Jennings, the Yankees have returned Rule 5′er, Jamie Hoffmann to the Dodgers. Hoffman, acquired from the Nationals in exchange for Brian Bruney (essentially), did not impress this spring and the Yankees simply do not have roster space for him. This all but ensures that Marcus Thames will make the team, an outcome I discussed over the weekend.
