Aceves hurting, could help Boone Logan

According to George King of the NY Post, Alfredo Aceves, who just a few days ago was competing for the final spot in the Yankees’ starting rotation, could end up missing Opening Day due to a balky back. Aceves had experienced some lower back troubles earlier this spring, and those issues, which King ominously describes as “disk-related,” have apparently stirred yet again. The right-hander was scheduled to pitch tomorrow, however, due to his back, he will miss that game. If his condition doesn’t improve shortly, Aceves could find himself on the disabled list to start the season, opening a spot for the left-handed, Boone Logan.
