Here are a few quick items to start the morning:
- In their second game of the day, the Yankees defeated the Blue Jays last night, 5-3.
- They won mainly because of the effort by Sergio Mitre. He allowed 2 ER over 6 IP and K’d 5.
- CC Sabathia actually struggled in his start yesterday, but expects to be ready for Opening Day.
- After seeing Pat Venditte switch-pitch yesterday, Jorge Posada thinks he has “good stuff.”
- Speaking of Posada, Joel Sherman writes about Posada’s offseason training regimen.
Posada seems eager to prove his worth as he ages. 2010 is a big year for him, career-wise.
