2010 Predictions

Over at TYU, we all posted our predictions for the 2010 season. Here are mine:

Chris: Phillies, Cardinals, Dodgers, Reds

Who will win the World Series?
Chris: Yankees over Cardinals

Who will win the Cy Young Awards?
Chris: Jon Lester, Tim Lincecum

Who will win the Most Valuable Player awards?
Chris: Alex Rodriguez, Matt Holliday

Who will win the Rookie of the Year Awards?
Chris: Austin Jackson, Jason Heyward

Who will win the Come Back Player of the Year awards?
Chris: BJ Upton, Jeff Francis

Who will win the Manager of the Year Awards?
Chris: Don Wakamatsu, Joe Torre

Who will prove to be the best off season free agent signing?
Chris: Adrian Beltre

Who will prove to be the worst off season free agent signing?
Chris: Matt Holliday

What will prove to be the best off season trade?
Chris: Mariners acquire Milton Bradley

What will prove to be the worst off season trade?
Chris: Cubs acquire Carlos Silva

In terms of my choices, some of them could probably use a bit of clarification. For instance, though many of you know that I think Matt Holliday is a great player, I think the Cardinals signed him for far too much money since there were no other serious competitors in the bidding for his services (according to various reports). In terms of my Reds pick for the NL Wild Card, I figured I might as well throw something random out there. They’re an improved club, so why not?
