Here are a few quick items on the morning:
- In his second start of the season, Phil Hughes nearly no-hit the Oakland A’s.
- Although Nick Johnson is only hitting .136, his .406 OBP still pleases the Yankees.
- A minor minor-league note—the Yankees have signed left-hander Josh Romanski.
Romanski, 23, is a former 4th round pick for Milwaukee. Mike Axisa wrote a profile on him back in 2008.
