Quick Bits: Recap, Joba, Park

April 24, 2010, 12:10 pm by · 4 Comments

Here are a few quick items on the afternoon:

  • A.J. Burnett grinded through 6 1/3 innings yesterday (9 H 4 ER 2 BB 3 K), but the Yanks fell to LAA, 6-4.
  • In the affair, the Yankees stranded 16 men, but it was Joba’s ineffectiveness that gave the Angels the win.
  • The Yankee bullpen could certainly use Chan Ho Park, who is headed to Tampa to continue his rehab.

Park is currently out with a strained right hamstring and will journey to Florida after the conclusion of the Angels series. He believes that the warm weather will help his tight hamstring heal faster (this trick helped him a year ago, apparently, as a Philly). Before leaving for Tampa, Park is scheduled to throw long-toss at Angel Stadium tomorrow.
