Here are a few quick items to start the day:
- Javier Vazquez was ineffective against the Angels yesterday, leading to the first series loss this year for NY.
- Andy Pettitte pitched well on Saturday and now owns a 3-0 record, but how long will this great showing last?
- In case you missed it, my love for Kim Jones made an appearance on the YES Network. Thank you, Twitter.
- On an unrelated note, Beyond the Box Score has an ongoing series called “If They Fought,” which is great.
Basically, they ask readers to ponder who would win a hypothetical fight between two ballplayers.
Here’s one an intriguing matchup of my own design—Alex Rodriguez versus Kevin Youkilis. Thoughts?
