Here are a few quick items on the day:
- The Yankees lost to the Mets last night, 6-4 (it did get a bit interesting in the 9th inning).
- Javier Vazquez’s BP session has been pushed back to tomorrow due to his swollen finger.
- Although his BP session has been pushed back, Javy is still expected to start on Thursday.
- Joe Girardi is not worried about Mariano Rivera, who has given up 3 ER in his last 2 1/3 IP.
- Curtis Granderson went 1-for-2 with a walk yesterday and played left field for Scranton.
I wonder if Girardi will try Granderson in the two-hole upon his return this weekend…
