Here are a few quick, yet noteworthy, news items on the day:
- Thanks to both Phil Hughes and Robinson Cano, the Yankees beat Cleveland last night, 8-2.
- Good news on Jorge Posada–he has been cleared to start motion exercises by Dr. Ahmad.
- Not so good news on Alfredo Aceves–he had his second epidural of the season yesterday.
- Right-handed pitching prospect, Amaury Sanit, has been suspended 50 games for PED use.
- And, finally, we learn that Nick Swisher is engaged to Joanna Garcia of Gossip Girls fame.
You may remember Garcia from last year’s parade. Nick is a lucky man. Congrats to him.
