Jeter exits game with hamstring tightness

After singling in the seventh inning of today’s game, Derek Jeter was replaced at first base by Ramiro Pena. Jeter, who seemed to limp a bit out of the batter’s box, reportedly left the game with tightness in his left hamstring. The tightness might have been related to Jeter’s at-bat in the second inning as he was plunked in that area of his leg by an 89 mph fastball from starter Mich Talbot. The issue seems minor, but I’ll have more on this later.
