Roy Oswalt would okay a trade to the Yankees

Hey, if the Yankees somehow end up needing Houston’s Roy Oswalt later this year – an extremely unlikely scenario – at least we know that the reliable right-hander is willing to join them. According to Ed Price of FanHouse, Oswalt, who possesses a full-no trade clause in his current contract, would be willing to waive the clause for three teams—the Phillies, the Yankees, and the Cardinals (what, no Orioles?). No surprise there, of course, but Price’s report takes a hit since Oswalt also recently said that he would be willing to join the Nationals, or any club, for that matter, that could presumably contend. Obviously, the Phillies, Yankees, and Cardinals are closer to surefire contenders than some of the rest.

Again, the Yankees do not need Oswalt, nor do they have room for him, but if they, for some reason, want him, it looks like he could be had.

I do agree with all the ideas you have introduced in your post. They’re very convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are too brief for beginners. May you please prolong them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
