Morning Bits: Recap, A-Rod, Teixeira, Draft, Trades
Here are a few quick items on the day:
- Thanks to Javier Vazquez and some luck, the Yankees avoided getting swept yesterday, winning 4-3.
- Alex Rodriguez expects to play on Tuesday despite being pulled with minor groin tightness yesterday.
- Mark Teixeira felt good about his swing in the Toronto finale, although he did go 0-for-4 (beats 5 Ks).
- Per industry sources, Frankie Piliere says the Yankees may draft a high school bat with their 32nd pick.
- Steve S. over at The Yankee U takes a look at the Yankees’ potential mid-season trade targets.
I think there are a few more trade targets out there. I’ll have my own list tomorrow.
