Here are a few quick items on the morning:

  • A.J. Burnett pitched 6 2/3 innings last night, allowing 4 runs en route to a 3-4 loss.
  • Alex Rodriguez was pulled from the game with a sore groin. He’s considered day-to-day.
  • A-Rod will speak with doctors this week, including Mark Philippon, his hip surgeon.
  • Speaking of injured players, Jorge Posada is working his way back behind the plate.
  • And, check out NoMaas’ interview with Mark Newman, the Yanks VP of Baseball Ops.

Newman speaks on a number of players, from Brett Gardner to Dellin Betances. Great read.
