Jeter’s agent shoots down 6-year, $150M proposal

A few minutes ago, Derek Jeter’s agent Casey Close shot down the Daily News‘ report from earlier today suggesting that Jeter was seeking a 6-year, $150M contract from the Yankees. “The recently rumored terms of our contract extension are simply inaccurate,” said Close to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports (props to MLBTR). Good thing, too. To say the figure was unrealistic would be an understatement.
