After missing most of last night’s game, Brett Gardner underwent X-rays earlier today on his right forearm. The Yankees’ left fielder also met with team physician, Dr. Christopher Ahmad. Luckily, Gardner’s X-rays came back negative and Ahmad diagnosed him with a right wrist contusion. He is considered day-to-day. What a gritty guy.

After getting plunked by Clayton Kershaw in the third inning of tonight’s game, Brett Gardner was replaced in left field by Chad Huffman in the bottom of the fourth. Apparently, Gardner was hit in the wrist and it began to swell, prompting Joe Girardi to take him out. While talking to the ESPN broadcast booth, [...]

Actually, forget Carl Crawford. In the American League, no other player is as fast or as wise with his wheels than the Yankees’ left fielder, Brett Gardner. Not Carl Crawford, not Rajai Davis, not Elvis Andrus—none of them are as good, for that mantle – the best baserunner in the AL – belongs solely to [...]
