Trading Jackson for Granderson was the right move

December 9, 2009 by · 11 Comments

Instead of being content with their newly acquired center fielder Curtis Granderson, many are disappointed that the Yankees did not keep the team’s homegrown product Austin Jackson, who, at 22, was widely regarded as the team’s second best prospect. However, in the aftermath of the trade — which has yet to finalized, I might add [...]

December 8, 2009 by · 8 Comments

UPDATE (12:35) — According to Jon Heyman, the latest deal would not include Michael Dunn and the Diamondbacks would send Daniel Schlereth to the Tigers. November 21, 2009 by · 11 Comments

From Keith Law’s FA rankings, we find Aroldis Chapman, who was number 5 on Law’s list. Chapman is the wild card of the free-agent market, as his track record is largely unknown, he has barely thrown for clubs since defecting and he is represented by agents who haven’t handled a free agent of this magnitude [...]

Who would you trade for Granderson?

November 14, 2009 by · 6 Comments

From Jason Beck (MLB): In Granderson’s case, few teams could’ve expected his availability going into the Meetings, so interested clubs will start looking at packages now.
