CC Sabathia is up for Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year Award.
Speaking of CC, he finished 4th in this year’s Cy Young race (Greinke, FTW).
Sergio Mitre’s option has been declined. He is arbitration eligible, however.
Yesterday, Pinstripe Alley picked Frankie Piliere’s brain on the young Yankees.

For me, the rain is absolutely miserable. Yet, for the Angels, the rain is certainly a promising development in that it allows John Lackey to be a rested Game 7 starter. Angels set ALCS rotation

Angels manger Mike Scioscia announced his playoff rotation today, and it’ll be John Lackey in G1, Joe Saunders in G2, Jered Weaver in G3, and Scott Kazmir in G4. While they’ve opted for a 4-man rotation, the Yankees seem to be leaning towards a 3-man.
