Here are 4 interesting bits to close out the day:
- Could we see Pacquiao-Mayweather at Yankee Stadium? According to the NY Times, It could happen.
- Brian Cashman says that the Yankees will be aggressive with FAs, but they won’t be too aggressive (like in ‘08).
- After being named the World Series MVP on Nov. 4th, Hideki Matsui is definitely leveraging the title in Japan.
- Jeff Zimmerman over at Beyond the Box Score offers UZR projections for 2010 (awesome stuff). Of the Yankees (including free agent Johnny Damon), most are projected to be average fielders with Alex Rodriguez being the worst (-3.8) and Brett Gardner being the best (+3.7). I think the numbers are optimistic, though.
Back with more news, rumors and analysis in the morning (bright and early).
