Royals to sign Arguelles
From Bob Dutton (Kansas City Star) and Jeff Passan (via MLBTR), we learn that the Royals and 19-year old Cuban prospect Noel Arguelles are close to a 5-year deal worth $7 million (plus a possible $2 million in incentives). The Yankees have been linked to Arguelles in the past, however, there has never been much substance to those reports. The organization has always been more interested in another Cuban left-hander—-Aroldis Chapman.
Based on Arguelles’ deal, I really cant see Chapman getting more than $15 million.
