January 25, 2010, 3:30 pm by · 2 Comments

Here are a few quick items on the day:

  • Curtis Granderson says that he is willing to play left field in 2010.
  • Granderson also hopes to see Johnny Damon stick around this season.
  • Frankie Piliere provides us with his top 100 prospects of 2010 list.

Piliere ranks Jesus Montero as the 5th best prospect in baseball. Manny Banuelos (41), Austin Romine (45), and Zach McAllister (76) are also featured in the list. In case you were wondering, Austin Jackson (25) and Jose Tabata (69) were included as well, although Arodys Vizcaino – recently shipped to Atlanta with Melky Cabrera for Javier Vazquez – was noticeably absent. Kevin Goldstein recently dubbed Vizcaino a 5-star prospect for the Braves.
