Here are a few quick items on the morning:
- Brian Cashman wants Andy Pettitte to skip his next start, though no decision has been made.
- With the Yankees in Boston for the weekend, the Red Sox are eager to take on their division rival.
- Joe Girardi on Javier Vazquez’s latest bullpen session: “I thought he threw the ball pretty well.”
Of course, Girardi then added, “But, as we’ve talked about, you’ve got to carry it over.”
