ANDY VS PHIL

I think Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter will both have big nights against Cole Hamels.

Enjoy the game. I’ll keep you posted on any possible rain delays (or postponements).

UPDATE – We’re obviously in a delay, but we should have baseball tonight.

    Rain delay!

I think they should get the game in and they say the rain is suppose to roll out enough to play within an hour or so.

I think Alex breaks out in this game and Pettitte will go into the 7th strong and pick up the win.

I’m glad A-rod hit that HR and I hope your prediction continues to come to life. A homeless guy saw my cap yesterday and was bugging me about A-rod’s strikeouts in the series. There’s something disheartening about a homeless guy ragging on your star bat. lol

The Yankees get John Legend and the Phillies come up with the kids from glee?

Let’s get this going! Yankees 6-4…

    Pettitte- W- 6.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 4 Ks, 2 BB

Very liberal strike zone for Hamels in the first…

  5. The other one says:

Cano needs to be more aggressive, he is taking the first two pitches of every at bat this postseason except a handful without even a thought of a swing. He looks like he decides before the game not to swing at the first pitch, this isn’t the Cano from the regular season!

  6. The other one says:

Well the bats need to get going now because we are down 3-0 and the 2nd hasn’t ended!

  7. The other one says:

Well Andy picked the worst game possible to blow up in and has allowed 3 runs in the 2nd inning and now the Yankees have to go out and face a Cole Hamels who is building confidence and has a 3 run barrier and his control is back! This could be a long night if the bats don’t heat up!

  8. The other one says:

So Pettitte is feasting on lefties and letting righties do work and his splits would suggest the opposite would be true…

  9. The other one says:

Swisher with a big double to start the inning, Pettitte with an unexpected huge game tying RBI single, Jeter with the single, Damon with a double and Tex with a walk knocks Hamels out of the game in the 5th with 1 out and brings Alex back up to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd to face JA Happ?

Nick Swisher with his first HR this postseason! I figured this would be a good game for both Swisher and Alex to get going just because none of the pitchers in this game (Hamels and Happ) can overpower you with fastballs and neither has had the best control.

  11. The other one says:

Pettitte with 7 strikeouts threw 5.2 IP tonight! He has gotten Howard twice, Ibanez twice and Utley twice, so much for statistics determining Andy’s future!

  12. The other one says:

At this point they would rather pitch Alex inside to the point of putting him on by hitting him rather than let him swing and he only has 1 hit in the series! Today he is 1-2 with a 2 run HR and 2 HBPs.
